1 Corinthians 11:26
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. – 1 Corinthians 11:26
Preparation: Sit quietly, relax. Enter into the inner room of your heart, close the door. With full attention, come into the presence of the Lord… Pray that the Holy Spirit grant you grace, and lead you in the following time of contemplation.
Meditation:
Jesus instituted the Holy Communion
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. (1 Corinthians 11:26)
Receiving the Holy Communion means that we have a covenant with Jesus. . . Imagine Jesus taking up bread. He looked at you and said, “Take, eat, this is my body, which is for you…” What was Jesus’ tone when he said that? How did he express it to you? What was your mood when you receive the bread? Did you eat this bread because you have been blessed, or because you want to proclaim the Lord’s death?
Contemplation (5 – 10min):

Contemplation (5 – 10min):
- Close your eyes, from the bottom of your heart, receive the Holy Communion that Jesus has instituted.
- Pray sincerely, “make us be the body of Christ for the world,”
- Be in silence for a while, close in the Lord’s prayer.
