John 18

John 18

So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given Me?” – John 18:11

Today is Maundy Thursday, and the pastoral team has made a special arrangement for today’s Daily Manna Together. I will be reading John 18–may the Lord help us reflect on His love.

Reflection Question:
Peter said, “I am not,” but Jesus said, “I am.” Jesus walked the road to the cross to redeem our frail humanity. Have you ever resisted the Lord’s leading in a moment of weakness? Are you willing to believe that even in your failure and weakness, Jesus still loves you to the very end?

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You that even in the face of betrayal, denial, and the road to the cross, You stood firm and declared, “I am.” You did not turn away, but chose to save us—broken and weak as we are. Lord, we confess that like Peter, we too have denied or resisted Your leading under pressure. Yet You never abandoned us. You have loved us to the very end. Please forgive our weakness. Restore our faith and help us follow You again—steadfast in every season. Fill us with Your love, that our service may flow not from ourselves but from Your unchanging grace. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
