John 19:31-42
Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there. – John 19:41-42
Today is Holy Saturday, and we have a special arrangement for Daily Manna Together on this unique Saturday.
Traditionally, it is a day of silence for Jesus’ followers, grieving the death of our Lord while His body lay silent in the tomb. I will be reading from John 19:31-40. Let us allow the silence from the tomb to sink in as we contemplate the aftermath of the crucifixion.

Reflection:
Imagine yourself as one of Jesus’ disciples on that day. How would you hold on to your faith in the silence between death and resurrection? What does it mean to trust God when you can’t see what He’s doing?
Prayer:
Father God, on this silent day, we remember the stillness of the tomb and the heavy grief of those who loved Jesus. Teach us to wait with trust when answers don’t come quickly. Help us to believe that even in silence, You are still at work. In the darkness between death and resurrection, give us the courage to hold on to hope, and the faith to trust Your promises. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
