Workshop on Digital Engagement

Synopsis of Workshop

Online sessions need to incorporate more interactive activities to engage participants. This workshop seeks to introduce participants to free online platforms, tools and resources which allow real-time, remote collaborations. We will be using mainly Google Docs, Sheets, Jamboard, Slides, Forms, and Sites in edit mode to explore applications for ministry in and outside church. Time permitting, we can explore other platforms including Flippity, BandLab, and Animaker.

Dr Calvin Chong is Associate Professor of Practical Theology at the Singapore Bible College. In this COVID season, he has worked with students and churches to develop digital learning trails, interactive immersive learning experiences, digital music collaborations, Bible quests, learning games, animations, etc. Dr Calvin worships at Covenant Community Methodist Church where he is currently Worship and Music chairperson.
